Week 9
Predictions
Ravens
-2.5 over Steelers, 26-22
-I
continue to believe in the Ravens, and feel something is wrong with the Steelers.
However, I look up and the Steelers are 4-2-1 somehow. If they win this week I
will accept it and get on board the bandwagon.
Bears -10
over Bills, 24-6
-Any
amount over the Bills really. Nick Mullens has as many touchdown passes as the
Bills do right now. Bears have hit a good schedule here. Nathan Peterman is
back in our lives everyone.
Panthers
-6.5 over Bucs, 27-19
-Is that
a sustainable offense I see in Carolina? It had better be, because the defense
is only okay now. Bucs need to blow it up on offense other than Mike Evans. For
so many reasons move on from Jameis.
Chiefs -9
over Browns, 34-16
-I
believe in the Browns’ talent, but wow this is not a good spot. Chiefs roll
hard.
Fins -2.5
over Jets, 20-10
-Streaming
the Fins’ defense in several leagues this week. Darnold has been very mediocre
for about a month now, and Jets’ injuries are piling up.
Vikings
-5.5 over Lions, 27-18
-Weird
line that probably reflects that Cook and Diggs will be limited if they play.
It’s fine. Thielen has a 14 for 190 and 2 TD line coming I’m sure. Strange move
by Detroit to move Golden Tate. They are probably done, and probably know it,
but teams don’t often admit it.
Falcons
+1.5 over Washington, 30-24
-I’m not
impressed with the nation’s capital poorly named team still. It’s a little bit
smoke and mirrors, and are about to encounter Matt Ryan/Julio Jones. Falcons
had two weeks to get things tidied up on defense, and hopefully made at least a
few improvements.
Texans -1
over Broncos, 23-17
-Well,
Demaryius Thomas is going to be a little confused here. Strange week to be
traded. Watson is so hot, not sure how you pick against him.
Chargers
-1 over Seahawks, 27-23
-Granted,
my read on Seattle this year hasn’t been good. But the Chargers are good. Their
two losses are essentially the best losses you could have. Seattle still has
holes in many places.
Saints +2
over Rams, 33-31
-Feels
like the spot for a Rams stumble. Love them, but the injuries are still there,
the pass rush won’t quite be fixed yet, and Saints are ascendant. Wow though
are points going to be scored here. OVER.
Patriots
-5 over Packers, 31-24
-Pats
giving less than a touchdown on Sunday night? Yeah, I have to take that,
especially at Gillette. Feels like a Brady/Belichick statement game.
Titans +5
over Cowboys, 22-20
-You know
how most weeks I proclaim a “I will not watch one minute of this game”? Well,
this should be that game. But because I’m self-destructive, I still have a
relationship with Marcus Mariota. So, I will likely watch all of this. Ugh.
