Bengals -2.5 over Browns, 24-13
-I just don’t see how the Browns can
score with the Bengals. The Bengals aren’t great, but they aren’t bad either.
The Browns are actually bad. How is this a 2.5 point line?
-Best Eliminator Pick
Cowboys +3.5 over Ravens, 24-27
-I trust the Ravens late in games and at
home, but 3.5 covers too much. Flacco does tend to have big games at home, but
this has the makings of a close one with the Cowboys being so rested.
Lions +4.5 over Eagles, 27-23
-I smell upset. Eagles’ mistakes have to
come back to bite them somewhere. This would bring them to .500. Hopefully the
Lions spent the bye week getting Stafford and Calvin fully healthy and
rearranging the defense.
Colts +3.5 over Jets, 17-13
-See here is what happens. The Jets are
that team that is a decent title contender, probably not upper echelon but
good. They get some really devastating injuries. However, they slug out the
next few weeks on something like muscle memory. They go through the motions, believe, etc. And
it covers them for a couple of good performances. But eventually, it all goes
downhill when the pure lack of talent catches up. See, 2011 Chicago Bears. And
we know how that ends.
Falcons -9.5 over Raiders, 31-17
-Predicting this cover makes me nervous
with a team coming off the bye. However, the Falcons are still really good and
will put up points. Raiders will make mistakes trying to match.
-2nd Best Eliminator Pick
Rams +4.5 over Dolphins, 13-10
-Too close to call, take the points. Greg
the Leg leads them to another victory.
Patriots -3.5 over Seahawks, 27-10
-I see the ARI-NE repeat possibilities
here, especially because this is in Seattle. But I really think NE is in a
better place, clicking on offense in a different way than three weeks ago. And
Seattle has shown that while they have some really strong elements to their
team, their quarterbacks cannot compete with Tom Brady to put up enough points.
NE rolls again.
Vikings +3.5 over Ethnic Slurs, 21-20
-Washington has to slow down at some
point. I thought it would be the injuries to the defense, but they are only
partially slowing this train down. RG3 really being hurt however would not slow
them down as much as put up a steel wall in front of them. Which is why I have
no idea why they would throw him out there this week even if he passes their
tests. But they will, so this’ll be close.
Giants +7.5 over 49ers, 24-27
-The line is just too big. Even 6.5 would
be too much. I think the 49ers probably win this at home, but again it is close
so the points make sense.
Packers +3.5 over Texans, 27-26
-Packers are desperate and need this. I
also think this may be a case of a team scoring touchdowns versus a team
scoring FGs. Points are nice but I really think Green Bay just wins this
outright. Simply a case of need here, not skill levels. Houston may win in that
case, but GB feels the fire pressing on them to succeed.
