NFL Week 12 NFL Predictions

Week 12 Predictions:
Lions -2.5 over Vikings, 22-16
-This would almost break the Lions if they lose, so coming off the bye and versus a team that may not have won last week without two defensive/special teams scores, I’m taking them. I’m still just very uneasy about backing the Vikings. Defensive scoring is not sustainable.

Ethnic Slurs +6.5 over Cowboys, 30-31
-Washington can score. Cowboys may win but I’m taking the 6.5.

Steelers -4.5 over Colts, 30-17
-No Luck would be catastrophic, and probably good night for this one even before it starts.

Falcons -4 over Cards, 29-20
-That’s the sound of the Cards’ season ending, and the Falcons keeping pace with their surprisingly feisty division. Weird weird Arizona year.

Ravens -3.5 over Bengals, 20-12
-Bengals are limping now, and this game would about eliminate them.

Jags +7 over Bills, 23-24
-I don’t know. Just taking the points. Both teams offend me.

Titans -2 over Bears, 24-20
-This is an easy one for the Titans with the Colts getting a tough draw. The division is actually going to be interesting to watch down the stretch, and I still think the Titans can win this.

Giants -7 over Browns, 24-10
-Browns aren’t winning this season. Giants are fighting for a playoff spot, and easily take this game.

Chargers pk over Texans, 26-12
-I still just don’t trust the Texans to score to the level they need to. They are also traveling from Mexico City on a short week, while the Chargers had a bye week and actually got healthier for the first time this season.

Fins -7.5 over Niners, 24-14
-Niners are a bad team, the Fins are ascendant (who’d have believed that after week 1?). Ajayi has made a huge difference.

Saints -7 over Rams, 29-13
-The Saints can score, and the Rams can't. That's about it. Goff should be able to work a little against this defense though.

Seahawks -5 over Bucs, 27-21
-Bucs are officially the team I don’t have a pulse on. However, I think I absolutely have the pulse for Seattle.

Raiders -4 over Panthers, 30-23
-Raiders continue their roll, basically eliminating Carolina from the playoff picture.

Pats -8.5 over Jets, 34-22
-This is a very flawed Pats team that is absolutely going to roll to 14-2 and a top seed. This Jets team is nearing disaster range. Pats defense might figure it out here.

Chiefs -3.5 over Broncos, 20-13
-Broncos don’t have a QB, and their defense is only good, not great right now.

Packers pk over Eagles, 27-20
-Eagles are just in too much of a free fall and the Packers need this. The Eagles also don’t really have much at running back or receiver right now, for different reasons.

2016 Week 11 NFL Predictions

Week 11 Predictions:
Bengals -2.5 over Bills, 27-23
-I still just don’t trust the Bills’ discipline or firepower at WR. Bengals need this to save their season.

Steelers -8 over Browns, 31-20
-The Browns could surprise cover with a late score, but the odds are this is a get right blowout by the Steelers. A loss bringing them to 4-6, especially with that 6th loss being in division, could be an early final straw for the Steelers. And that would be sad.

Ravens +7 over Cowboys, 22-20
-I tend to believe in the Ravens tough run defense, and think this will at least be a close game. This could be a good, subtly underrated game actually.

Jags +7.5 over Lions, 23-27
-Just too many points.

Titans +2.5 over Colts, 27-24
-In what world is Tennessee getting points here? Am I missing something? Tennessee is just a flat out better team.

Bucs +7.5 over Chiefs, 21-22
-Too many points again, especially against a team that can’t score. I still don’t trust Jameis in close games though, so Chiefs eke out another close victory.

Cards +2.5 over Vikings, 23-20
-Both teams are kind of a mess, but at least the Cards are winning some of their games in the last month.

Giants -7.5 over Bears, 27-17
-Bears had their run of semi competence. I believe it is now over, and their end of season downtown will be rapid. Cutler could be monstrously bad, and they don’t have a ton of other options. The Giants are in the race, and will win this fairly easily.

Fins -2 over Rams, 20-10
-I have to take the team playing reasonably well versus the offensively challenged Rams playing a rookie QB. Even though I could not be more excited about finally seeing Goff….and seeing Jeff Fisher have to do the logical thing despite himself. You know this is ending with the Rams at 7-9, right?

Pats -11 over 49ers, 34-20
-Even without Gronk, this should be an easy win. Big game for Martellus Bennett coming. Kaep is a sneaky fantasy play as the Pats defense has been porous and the Niners should be behind.

Seahawks -6.5 over Eagles, 24-16
-Seahawks are starting to roll, and Carson might have his first true horrible game versus this ascending defense.

Ethnic Slurs -2.5 over Packers, 31-27
-Oh boy. Taking Washington over my Super Bowl prediction Packers, and I feel good about it too. Tough times for Mr. Rodgers’ neighborhood.

Raiders -5.5 over Texans, 30-16
-One could interpret this as offense versus defense. I choose to think of it as a team that can score against a team that cannot.

NFL 2016 Week 10 Predictions

Week 10 Predictions:
Ravens -10 over Browns, 20-10
-Too easy. At least we won’t have to watch either team play on football Sunday.

Panthers -3 over Chiefs, 27-23
-Teams going in different directions healthwise. The Panthers can score again which will push the Chiefs past their capabilities.

Texans +2 over Jags, 21-20
-I actually like the Jags better, but the records speak for themselves. No one deserves to have to watch this game.

Saints -3 over Broncos, 24-20
-I don’t like this Broncos team. It can’t push the ball down the field, and it can be run on. The Saints are coming on at the right time.

Rams +2 over Jets, 14-13
-I just want Goff. I want to see it. I don’t want to see the Jets anymore, and this will be an ugly unwatchable game. Really, no one deserves to watch this game. I'm sorry Todd Gurley has to play in this game.

Falcons -2 over Eagles, 28-17
-I wanted to pick the Eagles here because it reminded me of the Eagles-Steelers game from earlier in the season. But the Falcons are getting better, and the Eagles have declined from being that dominant team to being merely good. This quietly is the game of the week.

Bears -2 over Bucs, 20-13
-The Bears are the fourth best defensive over the last month. I don’t trust the Bucs. I actually feel pretty good about this one for the Bears.

Packers -2.5 over Titans, 34-29
-This is a Packers statement game waiting to happen. It could also be the Titans’. But the Packers should stop the Titans run and make Mariota be something he hasn’t shown to be yet in his career: a pass from behind, when they know you are going to pass, dynamic QB.

Washington Professional Franchise -2 over Vikings, 23-13
-Vikings aren’t a good team right now. Can’t run, and can’t pass block. That’s not a good combination when Sam Bradford is your QB. Washington is rested and able to throw it enough to stay in this and win.

Chargers -4 over Fins, 28-23
-Another quietly good game. I have been pleasantly surprised with how Gase pulled this Dolphins team together. Imagine if they had a good QB. San Diego does have the good QB, which will probably be the difference in this game.

Cards -13.5 over Niners, 27-13
-Wow, that’s a lot of points. But this completely seems like the angry statement game versus a team going downhill quickly.

Pittsburgh -2.5 over Cowboys, 27-20
-Seems like the run should be about over, and the Steelers are due for a big game. Once there is a loss, does the Romo talk hit a fever pitch?

Seattle +7.5 over Pats, 26-31
-Just too many points. Seattle found its passing attack a little last week. Pats should win the game though.

Bengals pk over the Giants, 24-20
-Bengals are rested and ready, and the Giants are too inconsistent and lacking depth.

2016 NFL Week 9 Predictions

Week 9 Predictions:
Falcons -4.5 over Bucs, 27-16
-Bucs’ season may start to fall apart here. I’m not sure Jameis is good, and their running game is falling apart a little bit. Could be a big Julio game here.

Ravens -2.5 over Steelers, 20-16
-Assuming Ben doesn’t play, or plays injured.

Cowboys -7 over Browns, 24-10
-Boring, run, win, move along.

Jags +7.5 over Chiefs, 23-24
-Too many points versus a team potentially on a backup QB and 3rd string RB.

Fins -3.5 over Jets, 21-13
-Absolutely no confidence in this pick. No idea. Just picking against Fitzpatrick here. Moving right along….

Lions +6 over Vikings, 20-16
-Vikings are suddenly having trouble scoring, and the Lions will do some of that. That will keep this close enough to cover the line.

Eagles +2.5 over Giants, 23-21
-I still believe this Eagles team is better overall, and they concentrate on eliminating Beckham and making the Giants run.

Panthers -3 over Rams, 24-13
-Panthers are finding their offensive rhythm again, and the Rams never had one. Goff me please.

Saints -4 over Niners, 30-20
-This should be an easy one. Should.

Packers -7 over Colts, 35-20
-Rodger is humming now, and the Colts just aren’t a good team.

Chargers -4 over Titans, 28-23
-Chargers have a stronger dynamic ability to score and make plays, and thus take this game.

Raiders -1.5 over Broncos, 23-20
-The Broncos’ limited air attack should finally get revealed as they have to score to compete with a Raiders attack that will find ways to produce points against even this tough Denver defense.

Seahawks -6.5 over Buffalo, 22-10
-My only nervousness about this one is that Seattle cannot score well enough to cover. But this should be the point in the season in which Seattle starts going upwards and the Bills really turn downward.
