Week 17 Predictions

Bills -4.5 over Fins, 21-13

-Bills want to send Williams out well. Fins don't want to deal with the cold.

Packers -8 over Lions, 27-13

-Lions are done. Packers are still explosive.

Pats -13.5 over Jets, 27-10

-Worried about the exact same backdoor cover as last week versus the Bills, but overall the Pats really need this game and the Jets really need to lose because it vastly affects their draft placement.

Panthers-Saints, No idea about this meaningless game. Do not bet.

Cowboys-Giants, same thing.

Falcons +1 over Bucs, 30-26

-I still believe in the overall professionalism and organization of the Falcons versus the same qualities in the Bucs.

Texans -6.5 over Jags, 26-10

-Texans need the game, Jags are eliminated. One of the few games this week that are cut and dry.

Chargers -6.5 over Broncos, 24-13

-Chargers can still win the division, Broncos are now really done.

Chiefs -13.5 over Raiders, 34-17

-They need to sow up the top seed, and Mahomes’ MVP campaign. Also, he’s not going to get Mannings’ record, but Mahomes can pass a few other people and seat himself near the top of that list.

Rams -10 over 49ers, 27-16

-Rams need the win for the bye. Gurley likely will be out again, but it won’t matter.

Vikings -4 over Bears, 26-16

-Vikings need this win, and the Bears while alive for the #2 seed know that they will more than likely stick at 3.

Steelers -14.5 over Bengals, 35-13

-One thing I know for sure, the Steelers are going to light the Bengals up. Would help if the Steelers’ DC knew who the Bengals have on offense though.

Cards-Seahawks, I have no idea, and don’t bet it.

Eagles -7 over Washington, 24-10

-Eagles need this, so they take it. Washington, time to retool. You won’t, but retool.

Ravens -6 over Browns, 24-17

-A little nervous because I like the Browns and how hard they are fighting. I want the Ravens to win and get in, and think they will. After all, Baker got his win over Hue already.

Colts -3 over Titans, 27-16

-Comes down to the QBs. I trust Luck and don’t trust whatever the Titans are trotting out there. Colts at Texans would be a FUN first round too.

NFL 2018 Week 16 Predictions

Week 16 Predictions

It would be really nice to have the regular season done and be above .500 on the spread, but we will see. Need to close strong. It would be nice if logical things would happen on a weekly basis.

Titans -10.5 over Washington, 23-10

-Titans keep picking off the teams they should. Mariota continues to produce mediocre at best fantasy numbers. I continue to be angry at him. We are still fighting Marcus.

Chargers -4 over Ravens, 26-16

-Great game, excited for a strong Saturday night football contest. Chargers are just rolling to something much larger than the Ravens. Even if Keenan Allen isn’t 100%, they will just score too much for Lamar to keep up.

Browns -9.5 over Bengals, 23-13

-Wow, with confidence this pick is made too. Bengals unfairly beaten up, but time for a reboot anyways.

Cowboys -7 over Bucs, 27-19

-Cowboys should right the ship. Why do I feel like Jameis is doing just enough to stay in TB and get a contract next year? We don’t want this Cowboys, many interceptions please.

Vikings -6 over Lions, 27-16

-There’s only a 6 point line in this game? I guess the Lions are still fighting but the Vikings are finally turning it off.

Colts -9.5 over Giants, 20-3

-Colts are still in this, and the Giants look done. Saquon might finally be hitting a rookie wall, and OBJ doesn’t seem like he’ll play again this year.

Pats -13.5 over Bills, 27-13

-Dangerous line, but I’m getting in on it before it gets to 14. Bills are done, Pats need to arrest the skid. Pats running backs combine for about 20 catches in this game I think.

Packers -2.5 over Jets, 26-10

-I actually have no idea, but its Aaron Rodgers versus either a rookie or a guy 5 years older than him. I’ll take Green Bay. Fix this team everyone, we only have so much Aaron Rodgers left.

Texans +3.5 over Eagles, 24-23

-I honestly was not sure what to do here, but the Texans are the most explosive team. Close game, would not bet.

Falcons -3 over Panthers, 30-10

-Great story for the Carolina backup QB, but the Falcons are at least scoring with aplomb down the stretch.

Rams -14 over Cards, 31-13

-If they don’t figure it out here, I’m not sure where they do. Cards, time to keep building. Bring Larry back one more time please, but bring Rosen an exciting young Offensive Coordinator.

Bears -4 over 49ers, 26-20

-Dear Bears. Look at your fellow NFCers in Seattle. Similarly, a team with playoff aspirations that isn’t the top in the conference, but that should take care of the 49ers. Please don’t do what Seattle did last week. Love, Mike.

Saints -6.5 over Steelers, 31-24

-Steelers had a strong win last week, but continue to not show strong competencies. They should have blown NE out. The Saints likewise need to win stronger, that was a barely competent win. The struggles by NE, GB, NO, PIT, all make me think maybe the age where older QBs can still strive is also marked by older QBs fading a little later in seasons. In any case, the Saints are the better team and should win this by a solid margin.

Chiefs -2.5 over Seahawks, 31-20

-Not sure why this line is so low. The Chiefs have been the far better team all year and lost last week to perhaps the best team in the league (yeah, I said that). Seattle is middle tier talented at best.

Broncos -3 over Raiders, 17-6

-Broncos are essentially dead, but that is more alive than the Raiders. Can’t wait to see the Raiders rip everything not nailed down and some things that are nailed down from that stadium as they leave.

Texans -7 over Jets, 30-18

-Probably an easy win with the Jets staring at 8 days off and not having to get embarrassed on Sunday.

Browns +3 over Broncos, 22-20

-Broncos have hung around, but so have the Browns. I like Mayfield a whole lot, and Keenum is about to fade hard.

Falcons -8.5 over Cards, 26-16

-Falcons can at least still score points. Right? I think? Wow I can’t wait for the season to be over and stop losing currency on the Falcons.

Ravens -8 over Bucs, 23-13

-Nervous about Lamar Jackson laying 8 to a team that can score in bunches, but 15 years in and I’m still scared T-Sizzle is going to come beat me up.

Bears -5.5 over Packers, 29-23

-What happened Packers?

Raiders +3 over Bengals, 20-17

-Raiders look like the happier, healthier, more motivated team in this matchup. Why? How? Why?

Cowboys +3 over Colts, 24-23

-No idea. Both teams have been relatively hot the last month, going with the team that didn’t put up a 0 two weeks ago. Cowboys may just be good.

Jags -7 over Washington, 17-6

-Again, almost sad what is happening to Washington. They need to strip it down, rebuild, go young. And you know, change the name of the team.

Vikings -7 over Fins, 26-16

-Minny is going to be desperate. I’m still seeing images of Kenyan Drake running past a broken Rob Gronkowski. Adam Theilen, save me please.

Titans +2.5 over Giants, 20-19

-Giants had their explosion, Titans are still alive in the playoff hunt. No Odell, seems like a rough and painful Titans win. You know, like most of their wins. And losses. It’s just how they play in general.

Seahawks -5 over Niners, 27-20

-Seahawks are rolling right now. Niners are trying again, which is nice. But that was probably their last get up game before Cancun trip plans.

Pats -1.5 over Steelers, 33-27

-I’m NERVOUS. James Connor missing the game is big though. Pats could have had the inside track to the 1 seed if they had just held on last week! I think the Steelers are reeling a little and I’m not sure Ben is healthy. Have to go with the Pats coming off a loss.

Rams -9 over Eagles, 33-20

-Good night Eagles season. Get healthy Carson, the league is a funner place when you are right and firing. Hope Goff can get back on track this week though. NFC is suddenly looking more open than it did 3 weeks ago.

Saints -6 over Panthers, 30-17

-Good night Panthers season. And the end of River Boat Ron’s run.

Titans -6.5 over Jags

-Had this one, won a wager with my father.

Browns pk over Panthers, 26-23

-Cam isn’t healthy, and the Browns will be feisty.

Falcons +5 over Packers, 29-24

-Just too many points to lay with the Pack right now.

Chiefs -6.5 over Ravens, 27-18

-This implies the Ravens can score 20 points somehow. I’m not seeing that with the wishbone offense.

Pats -7.5 over Fins, 30-16

-Fins fade here, Pats continue cruising to a bye. The concerns about Gronk are officially are “we can’t really consider him a factor this season” level though.

Saints -9.5 over Bucs, 34-23

-Saints just had an off night last Thursday and have now had 10 days off. They will be fine.

Giants -3.5 over Washington, 24-20

-I almost feel bad to what is happening to the end of Washington’s season. Get well Alex.

Texans -4.5 over Colts, 27-22

-That was a weird loss for the Colts, and now they get a motivated Texans team that wants to essentially clinch the division and stay in step for a 1^st round bye.

Chargers -14 over Bengals, 31-10

-Chargers are going to roll all over them. I know someone playing both Chargers running backs in a fantasy semi-final. I don’t think that is crazy either.

Broncos -3.5 over 49ers, 20-10

-The Broncos aren’t a great team, but this is a weird line. The 49ers are toast, and the Broncos are still in the hunt.

Eagles +3.5 over Cowboys, 23-24

-I am unsure about this game overall, so I am grabbing the extra half point. Good game and if the Cowboys win that’s probably the division.

Raiders +10 over Steelers, 24-31

-Just a feeling. Raiders have been feisty lately, and Steelers can’t stop anyone right now.

Lions -2.5 over Cards, 20-16

-Just a bet for a veteran QB vs. a rookie one. Teams playing out the string.

Rams -3 over Bears, 30-22

-Interesting game, but at the end of the day Rams will just be too much. Bears need Trubisky back, and to get to full strength before the playoffs.

Seahawks -3 over Vikings, 24-20

-Vikings just might be what their record says they are: mediocre. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson is doing his best Brady 2006 impression.
