2019 NFL Week 9 Predictions

Week 9 Predictions
49ers -10.5 over Cards, 20-6
-My only hesitation is the line is high for TNF, in which 20 points is normally about what the winner has.

Texans -1.5 over Jags, 24-22
-Touch to bet against the Mustache, but sometimes the Texans can make a real run. Hopefully Watson's left eye works.

I'm not betting Bills over Washington, even though that's what I'd pick. That offense should lay 10 points to NO ONE.

Panthers -4 over Titans, 24-18
-Panthers should get a nice bounce back win over a team that is so inconsistent on offense.

Vikings -3 over Chiefs, 27-19
-I'm assuming Mahomes does not play, if so obviously this looks differently. The Vikings will be able to run it all over the Chiefs in either case.

Jets -3 over Fins, 20-16
-I mean, I guess.

Eagles -5 over Bears, 24-13
-I don't know what to make of the Eagles. I do know what to make of the Bears.

Colts -1 over Steelers, 23-20
-Okay, the Colts have been shaky. But I am not understanding why people really like the Steelers still. That was Miami they dominated in the second half last week, we realize that right?

Lions +2 over Raiders, 26-20
-Lions are fiestier than people realize, Raiders don't have enough talent despite their pluckiness. I'd lay the points but happen to be getting them so feel good about this.

Seahawks -6 over Bucs, 33-24
-Either the Bucs get into a shootout they likely win with Seattle's depleted offense, or Jameis implodes trying to keep up. I know what I'm betting on. Either way....POINTS. Take that over.

Browns -3 over Broncos, 17-6
-I guess. I'd rather be seeing Drew Lock to be honest. Broncos need to blow it up. Is it ever happening for Beckham?

Packers -4 over Chargers, 30-23
-Could be more points than expected, but the Packers are in a strong place right now and getting Adams back it looks like. Chargers will start their late season run at some point though.

Pats -3.5 over Ravens, 30-23
-Clearly the best team the Pats have played to this point, and Lamar is the best QB. However, Belichick is always prepared, dominates 1st and 2nd year QBs, and this is in prime time. It is a low confidence pick because the Ravens play the Pats so close all the time. Time for the offense to get it together in NE, and I believe they will.

Cowboys -7 over Giants, 26-16
-But man would it be funny to see Danny Dimes beat the Cowboys. Probably not though.

2019 NFL Week 8 Predictions

Week 8 Predictions
We can pull out of this. Doing fine straight up, but the spreads are killing me.

Lions -7 over Giants, 27-19
-I have a lot of confidence in this overperforming but underearning Lions team. Or, I just have to start Stafford in three leagues because of injuries and byes. One or the other.

Bears -4 over Chargers, 22-17
-Who knows with this Chargers team anymore? Wow. I’m taking Trubisky and feel okay about it. Yeah, that’s a lie.

Seahawks -3.5 over Falcons, 30-16
-3.5? Did you miss a digit in the tens column? This Falcons team is abhorrent.

Jags -6 over Jets, 20-10
-In the battle of four letter J teams, I will take the team with the quarterback who reminds me of Uncle Rico instead of the one who had mono, an enlarged spleen, sees ghosts, and had to have toenails removed between games. Wow, the Jets season is ROUGH.

Bills -1.5 over Eagles, 24-22
-I don’t like it, but man does this make sense. Eagles got broken over the Cowboys’ knee Bane-style last week. And the Cowboys, it is known, only beat up on bad teams. I don’t make the rules, just enforce them.

Rams -13 over Bengals, 30-10
-Yes, yes please. Jalen Ramsey is going to feast. So will Aaron Donald.

Saints -10.5 over Cards, 27-13
-A lot if the Saints don’t have Brees back, but at this point how can you pick against them?

Colts -5.5 over Broncos, 24-6
-Yeesh. Can we see Drew Lock at some point please?

49ers -5.5 over Panthers, 20-13
-This will be a legit, hard fought game.

Texans -6.5 over Raiders, 28-20
-I don’t know if I’d recover from what Aaron Rodgers just did to them. Can’t blame the Raiders if they don’t.

Pats -13 over Browns, 31-17
-I’d like to believe in the Browns. But there are offensive line problems and problems with Baker likes to throw it to the other team. Seems problematic.

Packers -3.5 over Chiefs, 27-20
-Packers are getting healthier and more in rhythm, and I don’t think the Chiefs will rush Mahomes back this quickly. Even if they do, he’d be rusty. Packers win a strong game.

Fins +14 over Steelers, 13-24
-Just a big number to cover, even for a team tanking.

2019 NFL Week 7 Predictions

Week 7 Predictions
Chiefs -4 over Broncos, 27-10
-I will just never believe in Joe Flacco.

Raiders +6 over Packers, 23-27
-With the receiving core so limited, I feel strange about laying so many points to a surprising Raiders team.

Seahawks -3.5 over Ravens, 26-20
-The Ravens are likely more talented, but this is Seattle resurgent this season and at home. Earl Thomas revenge aside, Russell is rolling towards an MVP….and hopefully a Dynasty League title for me.

49ers -10 over Washington, 20-6
-Easy win for the strong but yet fully challenged 49ers.

Texans +1 over Colts, 33-20
-Colts continue to be a nice story, but the talent on the Texans will win out. The Colts are disguising a port defense with an efficient offense, but it cannot last.

Vikings -1 over Lions, 24-22
-Too close to seriously call, I am generally chalking this up to if the Vikings have really decided to actually throw the ball again.

Jags -3.5 over Bengals, 24-19
-Bengals are so bad, and this is the type of game the Jags need to win to get back in contention.

Bills -17 over Fins, 24-6
-Might be worse. Bills are rested and Dolphins are now officially winning the tank.

Saints +3 over Bears, 22-20
-Keep getting free points for the Saints. No Brees or Kamara would not normally have scared me, but 4 weeks in a row have proven how good this team is overall.

Rams and Falcons, I honestly don’t know. But take that over friends.
Titans and Chargers, same thing. I’d pick the Titans if I have to, but this is a mess.

Eagles +3 over Cowboys, 28-24
-The Eagles still have so much talent, and between two very flawed teams this makes sense as a good game. However, the different may well be the health of the offenses, with the Eagles pass catchers almost healthy and the Cowboys’ offensive line decidedly not.

Pats -10 over Jets, 31-20
-Darnold makes it more interesting, but there is nothing like New England squashing a division rival essentially for the season to also move that much closer to a division title in Prime Time. In October.

2019 NFL Week 6 Predictions

Week 6 Predictions
Pats -17 over Giants, 33-6
-This would normally be a strong Patriots victory, but without the three best NYG offensive players on the field, yikes!

Panthers -2.5 over Bucs, 23-20
-I can’t bet against MVP front runner Run CMC, right? I hate myself for just typing that sentence.

Seahawks -2 over Browns, 27-19
-Am I missing something? This seems like free money. Seahawks are playing SO much better right now.

Eagles +3 over Vikings, 28-27
-Low confidence pick in what should be a great game.

Ravens -11 over Bengals, 27-10
-Ravens will roll this. Great game to tease a second game against.

Saints +1 over Jags, 23-20
-Just have to ride the impressive Saints wave at this point.

I’m not picking the Washington-Dolphins game. You can’t make me, I don’t wanna, and I will not.

Texans +4.5 over Chiefs, 33-31
-Mahomes beat up, Texans vibing on offense but Hopkins having a breakout game coming. I love the over for this game, even though it is 55.5.

Rams -3 over 49ers, 24-19
-Tough game and likely will be tight, but Rams have a history of success and this 49ers run is brand new. Jimmy G hasn’t really had to wind up and win a game yet, and I’m not sure that can happen until I see it. If Gurley doesn’t play, I’d make this a complete stay away however.

Falcons -2.5 over Cards, 24-20
-If the Falcons lose this does Quinn get out of the building with his job?

Cowboys -7.5 over Jets, 31-13
-Cowboys will roll over this Jets team, though Darnold back might be more interesting.

Chargers -7 over Steelers, 24-6
-It’s just the Steelers are down to a 5th string QB essentially, because the Chargers certainly haven’t been impressive.

Packers -4 over Lions, 23-16
-Very positive run for the Lions, but the Packers may be emerging as a top 2 NFC team. Rodgers will light it up at some point, it has to come.

2019 NFL Week 5 Predictions

Week 5 Predictions
 Rams +1.5 over Seahawks, 33-20
-I honestly thought the Rams would win easily, but hey, I’ll take the cover even if it feels ugly.

Jags +3.5 over Panthers, 22-20
-Minshew! It’s the extra half point, which is going to be a theme this week.

Cards +3.5 over Bengals, 20-17
-Me and the Bengals are fighting. Cards are a prettier and flashier team, and I’ve been there with Larry Fitz before so many times it is comfortable.

Falcons +5 over Texans, 23-26
-Low confidence, but I don’t trust Houston to cover 5.

Saints -3 over Bucs, 29-24
-Confidence pick in the overall quality of the Saints and the nature of the Bucs to screw it up every few games.

Vikings -5 over Giants, 27-20
-If the Vikings lose this and still can’t pass, then it will be time for a full reckoning.

Bears -5.5 over Raiders, 20-6
-London game, glad we give them our best offensive showcases year after year.

Eagles -14 over Jets, 31-6
-No Darnold still, this could get ugly.

Ravens -3 over Steelers, 31-13
-This will get ugly. The Ravens will tee off, and the Steelers have the false confidence of thrashing my former flame the Bengals.

Pats -15.5 over Washington, 30-6
-Wow this could be worse than the Eagles-Jets game. Yikes.

Chargers -6.5 over Broncos, 30-17
-Chargers still have that opening to be the 3rd best AFC team. It’s right there Bolts. Go on through.

Packers +3.5 over Cowboys, 27-24
-I kind of like the Packers anyways, and that 3.5 is too good to miss. The Cowboys miss their star tackle, and it shows in their production.

Chiefs -10.5 over Colts, 34-17
-The Colts are so beat up any chance they had is likely gone.

Browns +3.5 over 49ers, 24-23
-I honestly don’t know what to do with this, so I am going to take the extra half point. The 49ers aren’t a true “3-0” team by performance. The Browns are finally revving up.
