NFL 2020 Week 16 Predictions

 2020 NFL Week 16 Predictions

Bucs -10 over Lions, 31-20

-Lions just playing out the string and they are hurt, so this should be an easy win for the Bucs.

Cards -6 over 49ers, 31-17

-Kyler needs about 6 touchdowns for me in a fantasy final. While that’s probably not going to happen, I generally do think he’s going to have a great game. NFC West Divisional matchups are always tough, especially late in the year. But, this is under a touchdown.

Dolphins -2.5 over Raiders, 24-20

-Raiders are wilting and Dolphins are rising.

Browns -9 over Jets, 27-10

-This should be easy. It might be one of those 2-hour and 10 minute games with how much both teams want to run the ball.

Ravens -10.5 over Giants, 30-13

-Ravens roll on.

Texans -7.5 over Bengals, 27-14

-It’s going to get lost, but Deshaun Watson is having an all-time great season.

Bears -7.5 over Jags, 17-6

-Nevermind, THIS is going to be the 2-hour and 10 minute game. Everyone start David Montgomery. The Jets were dumb enough to try and win a game, the Jags aren’t going to be dumb enough to lose out on Trevor Lawrence.

Chiefs -11 over Falcons, 35-23

-The line is only 53.5...so I’d hit that real hard. For personal reasons, I’m going to need Russell Gage to have 150 yards and 2 TDs. We can work with that, right?

Colts +1 over Steelers, 27-13

-This is just giving me money at this point. Say it with me everybody, THE STEELERS ARE A BAD TEAM.

Chargers -3 over Broncos, 27-23

-Not this year, but going forward this is going to be a great matchup. I look forward to many TNFs of Chargers v Broncos.

WFT -1 over Panthers, 20-17

-I guess.

Rams +1 over Seahawks, 27-24

-Russ isn’t cooking for some reason. *cough, cough* Pete Carroll. Rams were embarrassed last week, but I believe are fundamentally the better team.

Eagles -3 over Cowboys, 30-22

-Jalen Hurts, man.

Titans +3 over Packers, 34-33

-I love and respect the Packers, but talent-wise and health-wise I think the Titans are in a better place right now. They’ve been tested recently against some stronger teams and are very physical. It’s close enough that I’m taking the three points.

Bills -7 over Patriots, 30-10

-Is it too much to ask for the Bills to score a defensive touchdown? (Can you tell I’m in a fantasy final where the other guy had Kamara?)

NFL 2020 Week 15 Predictions

 2020 NFL Week 15 Predictions

Chargers +3.5 over Raiders, 23-24

-This should be a shootout...so I’m just taking the extra half point.

Bills -6.5 over Broncos, 31-24

-The extra half point feels like a gift here. Also, anyone thinking that the Broncos is going to be really good next year?

Packers -8.5 over Panthers, 34-24

-The real bet here is the over because it is only 51.

Colts -7.5 over Texans, 27-16

-The Colts just do their thing every week. The Texans did their thing for a few weeks there...but it was mostly over bad teams and injuries/suspensions have taken their toll.

Titans -10 over Lions, 31-9

-I’m assuming Stafford doesn’t play. Either way, this is ugly.

Bus -5.5 over Falcons, 30-17

-Wow, I love this line. Even if Julio plays...this isn’t going to be close.

Ravens -13 over Jaguars, 33-17

-Might need a little more respect for Gardner...but we’re at the point of the season where the Ravens really need this win and the Jags just really aren’t a good team.

Dolphins -2 over Patriots, 24-20

-Somehow it seems fitting that the nail in the coffin for the Patriots playoff streak is going to happen on the road in Miami.

I will not pick the Bears-Vikings. Horrid NFC North matchup in December.

Seahawks -5.5 over WFT, 30-17

-WFT is playing really hard, but at the end of the day Seattle can score at a much more efficient level and has a much more experienced team.

-I don’t know what to do with the 49ers vs. Cowboys game.

Rams -17.5 over Jets, 31-5

-This may not be close to enough points.

Cards -6 over Eagles, 30-20

-This is just a team that needs it. The Cards will also have watched the first set of tapes on Jalen Hurts.

Chiefs -3.5 over Saints, 31-23

-Without Brees, this is really the only thing that makes sense. I wish this was a game at full strength...maybe we’ll get that in February.

Browns -6 over Giants, 24-10

-Browns are just a more disciplined and well-coached football team. Take the under, though….this could be a rock fight.

Bengals +12.5 over Steelers, 10-20

-It’s just a rough situation for the Steelers right now. The Bengals aren’t great, but they are showing fight...and 12.5 is just too much.

NFL 2020 Week 14 Predictions

 2020 NFL Week 14 Predictions

Texans -2 over Bears, 22-17

-Until the Bears prove to me that they have a competent offense, I’m going with the team that can at least produce points.

Titans -7.5 over Jags, 28-17

-Titans aren’t going to lose this close game and are far closer to the team they were in the second half versus Cleveland than the first half.

Panthers -3 over Broncos, 20-14

-Panthers are rested and coming off of a bye.

Cowboys -3.5 over Bengals, 22-13

-I’ve been looking for a while as to where the Cowboys were going to get a win...well, this is the finally the logical spot...but it probably still won’t be pretty.

Chiefs -7 over Dolphins, 33-20

-This is actually a decent amount of respect for the Dolphins. How they’re going to get to 20 points I’m not actually sure. It’ll be a good test, but will probably show the real distance between these two teams.

Cards -2.5 over Giants, 30-27

-This is the last week, Cards. You’ve been limping through games, the Giants have won four in a row, and the thought process about games like this may have to change after this week. But I’m giving you one more week. And even then, it’s because of that half point.

Bucs -6.5 over Vikings, 30-23

-Vikings should not have even been close to the Jags last week. Bucs are well-rested coming off of a bye, and hopefully have fixed any inconsistencies that may have plagued them earlier in the year.

Colts -3 over Raiders, 26-22

-Colts are just a very balanced, consistent, and professional team.

Seahawks -14 over Jets, 34-14

-This is a lot of points to lay for a team that knocked me out of my eliminator league last week. But this is the Jets we’re talking about.

Packers -8 over Lions, 31-20

-Lions are shutting people down and packing it in for next year. The Packers can sleepwalk their way to 30 points at this point and seem to be trying to get Rodgers his 3rd MVP.

Chargers +1 over Falcons, 27-25

-Strangely, this is a game where you’re not supposed to take either team in a close game. But by the rules of football, someone does have to win. I’ll take the team that’s not missing its best player. (CRAP, this is totally going to be a tie, isn’t it?)

Saints -7 over Eagles, 24-16

-It’s getting tough to lay this many points with such a limited Saints offense. But, the Eagles remain a mess, the Saints are cruising to the 1 seed, and somehow Taysom Hill is by far and away the most experienced QB in this game.

WFT +3.5 over 49ers, 17-16

-I don’t want to watch one minute of this rock fight.

Bills -2 over Steelers, 31-24

-Let’s be clear about one thing. I don’t like the Bills. But I haven’t liked the Steelers essentially all season. That’s a hard line to have stayed on for an 11-1 team. The defense is good, but now it has become very injured. I didn’t see passing efficiency with Ben even when it was going well. The Bills are humming on offense and are going to push this Steelers team.

Browns +2.5 over Ravens, 30-27

-I can’t believe I’m taking the Browns...but they are the more consistent, healthy, fundamental, physical team. Wow.

NFL 2020 Week 13 Predictions

2020 NFL Week 13 Predictions

Saints -3 over Falcons, 24-14

Nice showing by the Falcons last week. But this is back to reality versus an elite team.

I refuse to pick Lions vs Bears.

Titans -5 over Browns, 30-20

This is a good game, but I think the Titans are much closer to being a real 8-3 team than the Browns are.

Dolphins -10.5 over Bengals, 20-6

Miami is a 7-4 team competing for its division. This is the type of game it just needs to win easy.

Vikings -10 over Jags, 23-10

This is my Eliminator pick...and also a game with huge fantasy implications.

Raiders -7.5 over Jets, 23-3

Raiders got killed last week, but this is the Jets we’re talking about.

Colts -3 over Texans, 28-24

I don’t understand why this line is so low. I understand the Texans have been playing better, but these are still teams with inverse records.

Rams -3 over Cards, 27-23

Underrated game. But I think the difference is that the Rams are much more balanced, both run/pass and offense/defense. It might be slipping away for the Cardinals.

Seahawks -11 over Giants, 33-20

The Giants might be feistier than people think in this game. But at the end of the day, they won’t be able to score at the same rate as the Seahawks without making mistakes.

Packers -8.5 over Eagles, 30-15

The Eagles show no consistency and any professional team will easily deal with them. And the Packers have Aaron Rodgers.

Patriots +2 over Chargers, 24-23

I actually don’t know what to do with this game, but a) generally I always take the Patriots in a close game and b) you never take the Chargers in a close game. So...two for one!

Chiefs -13.5 over Broncos, 34-17

Yikes, this could be bad.

WFT +6 over Steelers, 20-23

Look I have no idea if they’re going to win...but the Steelers are getting beaten up and at some point here will feel the effects of the rapidly changing game times and rushed schedules. So, I’m going to take the points.

I refuse to pick Bills vs. 49ers...I just have no idea what is going to happen.

Ravens -4 over Cowboys, 17-23

I’m going to assume Lamar Jackson is back for this game. This is a case of Baltimore needing this win.

NFL 2020 Week 12 Predictions

 2020 NFL Week 12 Predictions

Texans -3 over Lions, 30-26

The Texans look like their offense is in better shape than the Lions right now. Their QB is certainly better.

Cowboys -3 over WFT, 26-20

The Cowboys, with Dalton, at least resemble a competent football team on offense.

Raiders -3 over Falcons, 27-23

Some of this is whether Julio plays. But if the Raiders are in fact a decent team, it’s the type of game they should win easily. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they do.

Chargers +5.5 over Bills, 26-30

Bill are going to win this because A) they are a better team and B) if it’s at all close...the Chargers will find a way to lose. However, I’d take the over and the points.

Giants -6 over Bengals, 24-6

I know people are using the Giants in eliminator pools and honestly...that kind of sounds like a good idea.

Titans +3.5 over Colts, 28-27

Listen, everyone. I can’t quit the Titans. I’ve tried...they’re just so wonderful. The Colts are a sturdily built team and I respect them. But, I truly believe the Titans have a much higher capacity for offensive production and exciting plays. This is a massively important divisional game...and I have to take what I think is the better team getting 3.5 points.

Browns -6.5 over Jags, 20-13

I really like the Browns to grind this game out and run it down their throats. However, Jacksonville starting Glennon at QB makes me somewhat worried they will have a competent offense.  The Browns are probably still going to be my eliminator pick this week, but this game might be closer than we all think.

Vikings -4 over Panthers, 27-22

Ok I have to admit it, the Panthers are better than I think. However, the Vikings are still playoff hopeful and playing at home I like Dalvin Cook to run all over this Carolina defense.

Cards -2 over Pats, 31-23

Assuming Kyler is healthy, there’s no way New England can score with them.

Fins -7 over Jets, 19-9

I refuse to watch even a second of this game.

Saints -6 over Broncos, 30-22

I sneaky like the over for this game because it is so low (43). The Saints are still producing and the Broncos have been scoring more than people realize.

Rams -7 over 49ers, 30-13

This could be very ugly.

Chiefs -3.5 over Bucs, 34-30

I have no idea what to do with this game and wouldn’t bet it.

Packers -9 over Bears, 31-6

With all of the injuries Chicago has, and how bad their offense was when healthy, this is going to be a bloodbath.

Seattle -6 over Eagles, 34-27

The Eagles will probably turn this into a shootout, but Seattle should still win fairly easily.

NFL 2020 Week 11 Predictions

 2020 NFL Week 11 Predictions

Titans +6 over Ravens, 27-26

-The Ravens aren’t quite right on offense...but neither are the Titans. So, this likely ends in a very awkward shoot-out.

Browns -3 over Eagles, 23-14

-The Browns have most of their folks healthy now and are going to run the  crap out of the football. Versus a highly inconsistent, and still injury-affected, Eagles team...that’ll be enough.

Pats -2 over Texans, 27-17

-The Pats are starting to come around a little, even if a lot of the Ravens game was about weather and the Ravens’ offensive struggles. The same formula may be in play for this week as the Texans can’t get out of their own way.

Steelers -10.5 over Jags, 30-13

-I don’t like this Steelers team, but I’m having trouble finding the loss in their schedule.

Saints -3.5 over Falcons, 33-27

-The Falcons honestly have pretty comparable talent to the Saints, and collectively might even have more top-end talent on offense. But the next six weeks for New Orleans is playoff prep and positioning. The next six weeks for Atlanta is planning vacations and the likely exit of many staff and players.

Bengals +2 over WFT, 23-19

-Joey Covers, baby. Just a case of a younger and more exciting team.

Dolphins -3.5 over Broncos, 20-16

-The Dolphins are just good...and this is the kind of game good teams just win and we shouldn’t have to think about.

Chargers -9.5 over Jets, 27-9

-My only hesitation in loading up the Chargers for eliminators, KOM leagues, Fanduels, and anything else, is whether they just get ahead too quickly and then take their foot off the gas. They should destroy this Jets team.

Packers +2 over Colts, 31-22

-Anytime you can take Aaron Rodgers and get points...you pretty much have to.

Vikings -7.5 over Cowboys, 28-20

-I don’t like the extra half point because with Dalton back the Cowboys could be...reasonable on offense. Dalvin Cook is going to feast.

Raiders +7.5 over Chiefs, 27-30

-Reminder that the Raiders did beat the Chiefs earlier this season. Probably isn’t happening again...but good to think about.

Rams +3.5 over Bucs, 28-30

-I’m just taking the extra half point as this should be close. Win or lose, what I really want to see is Goff and his receivers really turn it on. They really haven’t yet this year and while their record is good, this looks more like a solid team than one truly set up for postseason success.
