NFL 2018 Week 12 Predictions

Week 12 Predictions
Bears -3 over Lions, 24-13
-Lions are going to turn it all off soon. Johnson being injured hurts, and the lack of talent on offense is starting to show up for Detroit. Bears take care of business on a short week.

Cowboys -7.5 over the Team of Many Broken Legs, 26-10
-Just too many injuries. Really looks like the Cowboys are going to win this division. I am so excited to bet against them in the playoffs. Good luck McCoy.

Saints -13 over Falcons, 39-24
-I mean, how can you bet against this team at this point? Many points, but a blowout likely that also will functionally end the Falcons’ season.

Raiders +10.5 over Ravens, 14-23
-Just too many points for a low scoring team with a rookie QB. Ravens win, but Carr pulls the cover.

Jags -3 over Bills, 20-3
-Normally I don’t bet on teams with traumatic losses like the Jags had at the Steelers. But, they get the Bills. Good enough.

Seahawks +3.5 over Panthers, 20-23
-Panthers have been far too inconsistent to drop that extra half point.

Bengals -3 over Browns, 27-19
-Might be a quietly good game. AJ Green’s return and the Bengals need to stay alive in the playoff race tip this game, though I won’t be surprised at a cover.

Pats -9.5 over Jets, 27-10
-Pats are going to quietly cruise out the remainder of their schedule. Jets are going to list through theirs.

Eagles -6 over Giants, 25-13
-Makes me nervous to lay 6 with the Eagles, but the Giants are done and this is the last gasp for the Eagles.

49ers +3.5 over Bucs, 27-24
-Giving up that half point is not appetizing to me. They are a professional run team. That is only occasionally true for the Bucs.

Chargers -12 over Cards, 24-10
-The Chargers retribution for the Broncos game will be swift.

Colts -9 over Fins, 31-20
-Colts making a little run? Colts making a little run. Fins are certainly not what you would call a good team, so 9 seems about right.

Steelers -3 over Broncos, 26-20
-Steelers confuse me. Broncos getting that win makes this tighter. But overall the talent disparity and playoff situations make this an easy call for the Steelers.

Pack +3.5 over Vikings, 24-23
-Rodgers getting 3.5 is automatic for me.

Texans -4.5 over Titans, 30-17
-I haven’t seen a solid line, so I’m to guess this is what it will be. Texans are going to roll this division. This is the last gasp for the Titans to try though.

NFL 2018 Week 11 Predictions

Week 11 Predictions
Falcons -3.5 over Cowboys, 27-20
-Birds lost an inexplicable game last week, but overall are much better than the Cowboys.

Steelers -5.5 over Jags, 30-22
-I’d love to support the Jags, but this year is going the opposite way of last year’s playoffs. Steelers probably roll this.

Bucs +3 over Giants, 24-23
-Giants shouldn’t be giving 3 points to anyone. And the Bucs can’t regularly put up 400 yards on offense without scoring more than 3 points.

Titans +2 over Colts, 20-19
-Titans are a win better, and hotter coming off the big NE win. Colts are a good team though, and improving. Low confidence game, and hopefully an entertaining one.

Texans -3 over Washington, 27-14
-Washington should have pulverized the Bucs last week. Texans will light them up.

Bengals +4 over Ravens, 22-20
-Bengals are limping now, but so are the Ravens, who may be playing a rookie QB.

Panthers -4.5 over Lions, 24-10
-Lions are listing, Panthers are coming off a bad game and 10 days rest. They are likely to rebound. They need the win since the division race is over and there are only two wildcard spots.

Chargers -7 over Broncos, 26-13
-Broncos are done, Chargers are rolling. Everyone is going to ignore them, and then they are going to roll into the playoffs and be a tough out.

Cards -5.5 over Raiders, 20-9
-I can’t believe the Cards are laying 5.5 to anyone. But they are, and I’m taking them. That is the person Jon Gruden has forced me to be.

Saints -7.5 over Eagles, 31-20
-Eagles just aren’t quite right. They need a little overhaul this offseason. Saints are so hot it isn’t funny.

Vikings +3 over Bears, 24-22
-Bears are better now, but Vikings need it more. I’ll take Cousins and 3 points over Truthbisky.

Chiefs +3.5 over Rams, 34-38
-Just taking the extra half point in what should be a good tight contest. What an awesome game. Could be 75 points easy.

NFL 2018 Week 10 Predictions

Week 10 Predictions
Bears -6.5 over Lions, 24-16
-The Bears are going to roll over this. I await real challenges in future weeks for them, and “I read one side of the field only” Truthbisky.

Saints -5.5 over Bengals, 31-24
-Bengals are going to miss AJ Green here. Dalton probably surprises here, but not enough. Saints continue their roll, and with Panthers losing the division is looking like clear sailing.

Falcons -6 over Browns, 27-17
-Gregg Williams being a HC again is amazing. Borderline stunning. And wow are the Falcons going to kill them. Julio may ever score again.

Chiefs -16.5 over Cards, 34-16
-Big line, but I mean, how do the Chiefs not get to 34? And thus, how do the Cards get past 17?

Washington +3 over Bucs, 24-23
-Not really sure what to do here, so I am going to take experience and coaching over whatever the heck runs the Buc each week.

Pats -6.5 over Titans, 26-17
-This seems low….no? Pats may sit a ton of starters ahead of a bye, so perhaps it is something of a struggle.

Chargers -10 over Raiders, 27-6
-Chargers are going to mash this team. Lock of the week.

Packers -10 over Fins, 24-13
-Fins get week 6 of the Osweiler experience. Packers get a much needed win here.

Rams -10 over Seahawks, 34-22
-Rams get right versus a very up and down Seattle team. Good test for a Seattle defense that is overachieving.

Eagles -7 over Cowboys, 27-19
-Cowboys are going to wilt, Eagles are going to rise. Time for the breakaway division win.

Niners -3.5 over Giants, 20-16
-Niners are not good. But they are a reasonably forward thinking team with a smart coach and players who care. The Giants have…players?

NFL 2018 Week 9 Predictions

Week 9 Predictions

Ravens -2.5 over Steelers, 26-22
-I continue to believe in the Ravens, and feel something is wrong with the Steelers. However, I look up and the Steelers are 4-2-1 somehow. If they win this week I will accept it and get on board the bandwagon.

Bears -10 over Bills, 24-6
-Any amount over the Bills really. Nick Mullens has as many touchdown passes as the Bills do right now. Bears have hit a good schedule here. Nathan Peterman is back in our lives everyone.

Panthers -6.5 over Bucs, 27-19
-Is that a sustainable offense I see in Carolina? It had better be, because the defense is only okay now. Bucs need to blow it up on offense other than Mike Evans. For so many reasons move on from Jameis.

Chiefs -9 over Browns, 34-16
-I believe in the Browns’ talent, but wow this is not a good spot. Chiefs roll hard.

Fins -2.5 over Jets, 20-10
-Streaming the Fins’ defense in several leagues this week. Darnold has been very mediocre for about a month now, and Jets’ injuries are piling up.

Vikings -5.5 over Lions, 27-18
-Weird line that probably reflects that Cook and Diggs will be limited if they play. It’s fine. Thielen has a 14 for 190 and 2 TD line coming I’m sure. Strange move by Detroit to move Golden Tate. They are probably done, and probably know it, but teams don’t often admit it.

Falcons +1.5 over Washington,  30-24
-I’m not impressed with the nation’s capital poorly named team still. It’s a little bit smoke and mirrors, and are about to encounter Matt Ryan/Julio Jones. Falcons had two weeks to get things tidied up on defense, and hopefully made at least a few improvements.

Texans -1 over Broncos, 23-17
-Well, Demaryius Thomas is going to be a little confused here. Strange week to be traded. Watson is so hot, not sure how you pick against him.

Chargers -1 over Seahawks, 27-23
-Granted, my read on Seattle this year hasn’t been good. But the Chargers are good. Their two losses are essentially the best losses you could have. Seattle still has holes in many places.

Saints +2 over Rams, 33-31
-Feels like the spot for a Rams stumble. Love them, but the injuries are still there, the pass rush won’t quite be fixed yet, and Saints are ascendant. Wow though are points going to be scored here. OVER.

Patriots -5 over Packers, 31-24
-Pats giving less than a touchdown on Sunday night? Yeah, I have to take that, especially at Gillette. Feels like a Brady/Belichick statement game.

Titans +5 over Cowboys, 22-20
-You know how most weeks I proclaim a “I will not watch one minute of this game”? Well, this should be that game. But because I’m self-destructive, I still have a relationship with Marcus Mariota. So, I will likely watch all of this. Ugh.
